My Fort Portal Experience : Give incentives to your customers, It works.!!

hhh

As soon as arrived, my Facebook status read “Fort Portal, iam in your area Code” and it’s from that moment that messages started trickling in my inbox. Most of the people were requesting me to meet them at their business premises while others were asking me to give them a minute of chat because their businesses were crumbling. The shrewd sales people were calling me to buy their products (nice) Roughly I received about 62 inbox messages, that’s quite overwhelming for a simple man like me, thank God for he gave me a gift of humility. It was quite unfortunate that I didn’t get time to meet you my FP friends, i was roughly there for about 9 working hours. Am so sorry. I promised…

I lost three years and money because of poor planning and Excitement.

hostalite

Three years ago, we interviewed four University graduates for a certain job at ‪#‎Hostalite‬. I honestly wasn’t impressed because three of them failed the practical/ hands on tests. My mind went racing and quickly got an idea to start a training center that would equip such graduates and many more with practical I.T and business skills. I quickly ordered for computers, turned the Hostalite Board room into that training centre. This was all done in a space of one week, I honestly can’t tell where this excitement came from, that led me to spend all this money without planning properly. We called it Hostalite Cyber Academy| HCA which I am sure some of us have heard about it. We went ahead and spent money of…

Let me tell you about Hilda,(not real name). Hilda was my classmate. She was one of those people who topped our class. They had their click of the “toppers”. We knew at the end of the term that these were the names to be read at the end of term assembly and somehow we learnt to maintain our space. In class and at the school assembly they always assured us that success awaited the good performers in class. Jobs would come running for them and they would be spoilt of choice. They would get government sponsorship at university and they would do those courses every one dreamed of. They would become doctors, lawyers, engineers and the etc of that kind. We had no option but…

Would you buy your own Product?

When I was beginning out as a businessman while at university, I used to operate quite a number of businesses. Among the many was a mobile disco for hire. Its components were fragments laid off by other disco owners. It was a system of a bit of this and a bit of that. It was all a patch work of machines. It was not about having the latest equipment on the market, no! It was about having a component of the system. I never trusted it myself. This was the time when I was leaving university. One would expect that since I owned the system, I would be able to use it for my own graduation. But I wasn’t ready to embarrass myself on my…

Consultation saves time and money

You all know that I am a new author, well you can still call me an upcoming author. But, How did I manage to launch a book ” Iam not sorry for my mistakes ” that has so far sold 1200 copies in one and a half months? On top of using my social media and marketing skills, there is one more ingredient that most of us tend to ignore. We fail to ask or consult for fear of being seen in a vulnerable position and offcourse Ego issues. Before my book came out, I spent some good time consulting senior authors as way of understanding this new world. One of the great gentlemen I met was Samuel A. Bakutana, a very kind, composed, God fearing…

I have a message for the husbands

I wish to share one thing that I think could help our marriages blossom, and its just one among many. Buying flowers for our wives or any other gift. Offcourse I understand the fact that we are different and as men we have different priorities or methods of running our family love affairs. However, there is one undoutable fact, all ladies love flowers/gifts or at least they appreciate the fact that someone thought about them at the time that gift was being bought. (Basically the “world stopped” at that moment) I have used flowers as an example but there could be some other gifts that our wives love. There is one thing I have personally experienced in my marriage. It’s magical when you buy a…
